WORKING OFF CAMPUS

0 k$ ^- c) |. Q* f4 |We are pleased to announce the launching of the national Off-Campus Work Permit Program.  The program enables eligible full-time international students to be able to apply for an off-campus work permit.

IMPORTANT NOTE

; f* e' }# e+ P$ W0 N- H0 ^: x, r. hAlthough the Citizenship and Immigration Canada announcement (of April 27, 2007) indicates that the Off-Campus Work Permit Program is effective immediately, participating institutions in Ontario, including the University of Western Ontario, will begin program implementation (i.e., processing of required Verification Forms) on JUNE 1, 2006.  This means that eligible international students cannot apply for an off-campus work permit until that time.

International students must meet eligibility requirements and obtain a work permit before they can work off campus.

SDC�s International Student Services will continue to provide important program updates to Western�s international students through email communications and through our website.
